i checked my account balance today, and i have enough to order the speakers...but purchases seem to show up days/weeks after i've made them, so i'm not going to risk it. i'll wait til next week when i have more money in my account.
onto other news, i put the bass back together and did the wiring. the grounding is no good with the dual concentric pot, so that needs to be fixed. i'm tired of soldering fumes for a while, so that's going to get done tomorrow.

ok, here are full pics of my guitars as promised.
i'll have pics of the bass soon. i need to finish working on the damn thing first.
on another note: do you guys realize that this thread is now over a year old? the last post i made was on the anniversary, but i didn't remember to check the date til today.

BTW, I really like the mockingcaster. The colors you have on that thing are very very good.
Yesterday I had a really busy day, but after 4:00 I was thinking, "you know, I worked enough today" so I did some research and I think I might try a silver metalflake finish on a cheapo strat body, maybe even the one I already have. The problem is, of course, that body has already been tung oiled and I'm not sure any hard finish will stick to it. Anyway, yesterday I found a supplier for the metalflakes and some ideas on how to do it if you don't have all the high tech paint supplies.

It's also funny that you have a strat neck on the tele body, and a tele neck on the mockingbird body. What do all the knobs and switches on the MC do again? Do you have two volumes and a tone and a 3 way?

two volumes (each one splits it's respective pickup), tone, and three way.
i just received three pickups in the mail today. two gibson ones from bornincrimson and an sd alnico 2 pro humbucker from some guy on the duncan board. i think i'll try them all out in the mockingcaster and see what i think. now i just need another guitar to put the extra pickups in. hmm...i am going to a guitar shop in a couple hours...do i need a new computer that bad?

is this the end?
ok, possibly the last post here ever...
there's a sweet ass les paul with p90s at that shop i visited earlier. i played it a few months ago, and it's still there. it's on consignment for $699. if it's still there at the end of the summer, i think i'll see if they'll lower the price and then i'll buy it.
ok, now a list of definite (almost definite, anyway), and possible summer gear purchases:
definite:
boss tu-2: could use a better tuner, plus it will power my pedals
reverb pedal: i've gone without reverb for too damn long. i'm thinking electro harmonix holy grail at the moment.
another guitar: danelectro 12 string? p90 les paul? time will tell.
speakers: ordering them soon...very soon.
drum machine: need it for a couple upcoming projects that will most likely fail.
possible:
distortion pedal: still haven't found one i'm happy with
tubes: depends on cost of other purchases
delay pedal: why not?
that's all i can think of right now.
oh yeah, i bought a couple string trees earlier, and i bought some dr 11's. decided to try something new in the string dept.
